    Default Lasering Razor

Has anyone on here had their razor laser engraved or do you know of anyone who has? I have one in town but I want to know if it is possible and how it turned out.

I haven't, but I was told that there are plans for a homemade electrochemical etcher online. I was thinking of finding them to make one, but I have a couple of friends who can laser etch I might see if they would do a one-off. Thanks for the idea.

Hardened steel? I would think you would need an industrial type laser to do that.

Quite true, and even if a local facility existed, I imagine the cost would be prohibitive

"Certified" diamonds -- good ones -- usually get their serial number engraved (by laser) around their girdle.

If they can engrave diamond, they can engrave anything.

    I think you're still right.
The engraver did the top of the spine, which isn't what I think of when someone wants to know if they can "engrave the blade".
    But it is pretty cool!

i say get it laser etched to minimize the chances of damage either when being held in the machine or by the probe hitting the blade
