Rock Blade Uk???????
Hey Gentlemen,
Has anyone heard of this company or had any experience with any of their razors? They make some really nice looking customs but I wasn't too sure if their blades are that good of quality or not. The link to their site is below, thnx.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any mention of razors anywhere on their site.

I think it´s the same guys that used/use to sell on Ebay aswell and if so the damascus steel razors aren´t good, from what I heard (I have no own experience).

I've found one razor on their website(#273 in Gallery).
But to make good knives, doesn't mean to make good razors. It's not the same.Last edited by manah; 02-04-2011 at 12:03 AM.

Thanked: 68Here they are
I too looked though the pictures quickly and didn't notice any straights at first.
Manah obviously had a better look and found this one:
The man on the right who does the intro say's to click on him to find out more... This links to ebay where there are 3 listed (very cheaply). Wonder how they would shave??
They have an interesting decription of their product:
The long tradition of high class Damascus knives continues with the new edition of straight razors. At the same time, RockBlade is setting a new technical standard. Thus far, almost no one has dared to produce a Damascus straight razor with more than 180 layers. In the standard forging process, there is a great risk that different layers of steel are exposed at the very fine edge of the blade, thus creating a "micro saw" on the cutting edge. Our Damascus forgers have solved this problem and are forging the RockBlade’s Damascus blades with more than 300 layers of high quality carbon steels. The blade steel guarantees a very high hardness without the danger of chipping. This piece is a must-have for any collector.

Interesting disclaimer on their eBay ads
Note: Some of our Straight Razors may not be good enough to do the Shave
If you're serious email them & ask where the razors are made. They look no different to the other Pakistani made damascus razors on eBayLast edited by onimaru55; 02-04-2011 at 01:37 AM.

I love the look of damascus steel, but all that I read leads me to believe it's not suitable for razors. Not long ago I saw a custom one one the web, step by step kinda thing, and the solution was to weld a strip of steel to make the shaving edge. Can't for the life of me remember where, and didn't bookmark it.
And that disclaimer would keep me from buying them even if I could afford them. Something not right about making a razor that may not shave and selling it anyway. I'm just saying.
Some of the knifes were very pretty, though.
