Default Hollow Ground and Wedge Blade

I have a 7/8 razor marked "B&L. O.Co. *". The blade is hollow ground on the side with the imprint, and has a flat wedge grind on the other side. I have never seen a razor with two different grinds in the same blade. Is this a flaw in manufacturing, or some odd intended feature?

Kind of looks like a western attempt at a Japanese grind.

It's a microtome, generally used for tissue dissection.

Thank you! That was a mystery. But, now makes sense.

From Microtome - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia, it is a "planar concave".

For what it's worth, Ken Hawley referred to it as a section grind
