Suggestions??
I am going to spend $200 to $260 or so on a razor today. I have had my eye on a Hart razor and I can't really decide given all the choices out there. What in the world am I going to do?
LOL
Some of my razors:
I have a Friodur I love, Wacker 1/4 grind, Dovo 55, and a TI I am trying to sell that I might just end up keeping.
Give me some Ideals as to what might be out there. I am doing this because I just want to make sure I have thought of everything before I pull the trigger on the Hart. I like 6/8 and larger. I really don't mind what grind, I like my full hollows and 1/4 grinds.

I would keep my eye on the classifieds I can't believe this is still here . Don't even hesitate and beats most any brand I know of.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

FWE is ,IMHO, the equal of any Filly or duck. The special (what that razor is) was their top of the line , along with the Leader. If I didn't have a couple of each I would have bought that myself. Would have anyway but $ are tight. The old barbers in NJ 25 years ago told me that ducks and FWE were the razors to look for and IME they were correct.
BTW, I don't know the seller or have any interest in whether it sell or doesn't but I would take it over 10 harts.Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Indeed, Jimmy, but it's CONUS only so that's a barrier to some.

Thanked: 1195It looks like you won on two fronts: You scored an excellent vintage razor, and spent much less than you were prepared to on a new production model. Congrats!

It's your razor and you can do anything you want with it, but I'd advise against replacing the scales as long as they function well, and if they don't try to get them fixed first. In my opinion if it's not necessary to do otherwise, it's best to keep razors in their original state.
