I'm thinkin it's hot and someone filed off all the identifying information. Probably the same people who changed the scales. I'm thinkin a chop shop.

    Lightbulb Identifying No Name

I have one like yours with only ENGLAND stamped on the tang. That was for 1890's tariff on imported goods, like razors. I do not know who made it, but it is very hard steel and shaves very well.

Try this: gently clean the razor and take the razor outside in direct sunlight and rotate the blade to catch some glare from the light. I did this with some hand saw blades. It worked for me then. Sometimes a critical angle will cause an etching or ground away stamping to appear with a faint image. It might be helpful to lightly oil the blade with very thin oil as you try to seek an image.

It is a bad time of year for good sunshine but good luck with the effort anyway.

This thread refers to a razor marked as yours though the information may relate to the markings on the box as far as I read it.

Thanks, the stamping on my razor looks a little different. It has a small bird then bob white with letters about half the size. What did it for me was the bird is the same shape and facing the same direction. Just could not make out any makers mark..............Thanks again..
