Nice Razor?
Hello guys, I just purchased a Le Jopri Gananti 6/8. Never heard of this razor before. I got to admit I bought it because it looked great (as you can see from the pic) But will it perform?

Well... there's only one way to find out; here's how:
Send it to Lynn to have it honed; Lynn will send it to me and I will give it a six month to a year test and report back on the results.
No, no... don't thank me. Anything for a brother in need.

Assuming it's not a typo, that's garanti, as in guaranteed. I love those French razors and it looks like you got yourself a nice one. Love those scales.

Hmmm.... very generous of you, but I have two of those. It makes me cry just looking at them. One day, after I buy stones, learn to hone, rescale and all that minor stuff, I may attempt to make a shaver out of one of them.
PS.: This means I pass. I am, nonetheless, grateful for the offer.

Nope, I picked these two up on eBay for under 20 bucks for both and they shipped all the way from China - took their sweet time to get here too.
Not only they aren't shave ready, one of them has an edge that isn't straight at all.
It will take a lot of work to make a shaver out of them, one at least will have to be breadknifed and brought back. And I haven't even checked if they are warped.
