    Anything on the other side of the shank? Any markings on the scales? Hard to tell, maybe impossible to tell without some additional clues.

    From the photos I can't see any other markings and the seller said that there were no ther markings. Oh well, It's just something I was looking at on ebay. I figured if the style was unique to a known good manufacturer it may be a decent buy for $12.

    That photo has appeared in a different thread. Somebody picked up the thin line running across the blade (near the center) and asked:

    If it is a crack, that razor is of no value as an actual razor.

    If it's not a crack, virtually all solingen made razors will take a good edge and serve you well for shaving.

    Brand only matters if you're collecting IMO.
