Thanked: 0Wacker website
Greetings all,
I'm wondering if anyone here has ever ordered a razor directly from http://www.wacker-rasiermesser.de? I sent them an inquiry about one of their models a few weeks ago, using the online 'contact' form, and haven't heard a peep in return. Granted, my note was in English, but I assumed someone on staff would be fluent as they mention shipping around the EU (including GB).
If anyone has any advice or anecdotes from prior purchases through the Wacker site, I'd sure appreciate it.
Thanks!Last edited by akgrown; 02-23-2011 at 11:51 PM. Reason: url correction

Welcome to SRP!
I have never seen that website before, I will have to check it out. You also have the option of going to Shaving Shop - luxury classic wet shaving products - straight razors. They have Wacker straights too.

I once bought anything from them.

and you will see you get faster response.
By the way they sell great razors I'm very happy with mine.
Edit:
Try to mail german, guess she does not understand English.
I once mailed in English, but then got no answer.

Thanked: 0Thanks for the responses, everyone - and thanks for the welcome, Skippy!
Sounds like the best bet will be to contact John at the Shaving Shop and see if he is able to order the model I'm interested in. Barring that, I will have to brush up on my (nonexistant) German skills!
I'll update this thread when I know more...
Cheers!

There are several websites where you can type in English and it will translate into many different languages, including German. You can also use it to translate their reply into English from German.
I strop my razor with my eyes closed.

I tried that once. It is a literal translation which makes for interesting reading. Instead of stand table leg up it translated to give leg erection.
I have several Wacker's and enjoy all of them. I got my blades from John over at shavingshop.com

I got an email from Heribert Wacker just the other morning. I was inquiring on a 5/8 in a round point. He says he has made them so I had to write back to see if he has any made up at the moment. I like 5/8 but I like a round point much better than the Spanish Point. I think if I were going to spend the $200+ on a Wacker razor I would like to at least get the type of point I want.
