I am finding mostly conflicting information about Griffon razors on the internet. If I was more knowledgeable about straight razors, I would try to do some work to the SRP wiki page, but as it is, I'm the wrong person for that.

I have a Griffon 68 and would like to know more about it. It is not marked XX. But on the other side of the tang it has the Griffon animal logo and "GERMANY" stamped on it. It does not say anything about Carbo Magnetic, but a compass needle is strongly attracted to it (my other straight razors don't have the same effect on a compass needle.)

What does the 68 mean? What range of years could it be from? Are there any comprehensive sites about this brand?
