    Default Henckels Zwellingswerk 42 1/2

I picked up a beauty of a razor for $18 at a local antique store. The blade is in great condition (just needs a good polishing) and the scales are in great shape. Sorry for the poor quality pics as I have an old camera.

Can anyone tell me the history of Henckels? And what can I expect from it?

You did good.Hendkels are a reputable brand. Get 'er cleaned up and properly honed fir a good shave. There is a bunch of info on Helckels razors on the site. Look through the WIKI and give SRP a search and you'll find a bunch.

Yep, clean up, sharpen and shave. Looks like a good deal from here, too. Doesn't even look like it needs sanding. Nice score.

I sanded it with a 600 grit to get some minor rsut spots and then polished with a 2000. WOW!! It looks like a new razor. I am definetly excited to shave with this beauty.

    What should I name it...lol.
