good razor, the only thing i dislike is the imitation bamboo scales, but most people really like those.

I have a KB extra 67. I don't have much historical information on it. But I will say that mine is a delight to use. It will take and hold a keen edge for while. It's a good shaver. Congrats on your acquisition.

cool one reason i bought it is because I am a civil war reenactor and i wanted something that looks like it could've been from that era. But i really love it now i look forward to morning for my before work shave/ before school.

I actually bought this razor off ebay for $16 and it came hones all i had to do was strop it a bit to make sure the edge was good and shave. My first shave really hurt lol bad razor burn. A week later (now) I am amazed by how awesome my face feels after I shave. I still have a long way to gow though.

yes, although Goins indicates Krusius Brothers Germany was 1856-1983, as Gugi indicated before ww2 is about right. Although same technique and skill required in usage, it was not forged in Civil War era.

I enjoy the shave of my 67 very much, it's a fine piece of steel. I originally picked mine up, as I noted here, when intrigued that a fictional character in The Broken Window called it his favorite for his purpose.

Stick with it, and it all will seem second nature, and well worth the time learning. Kinda like riding a bike, you will have the skill forever.
