Barber Pet
I just buy BARBER'S PET Straight Razor Simmons Hardware
I notice, the blade looks a little slanting, and this is explanation from seller:
"....The blade has been honed with a concave shape, probably on a rounded stone. The good news is that it looks like the razor has been in use recently and has a pretty sharp edge. It will only need a little finish honing to have it shave-ready...."
Is it possible to get a flat blade unlike this one?

Hi,
The edge has frown(btw, mountain shape is easier to visualise than the frown if you are unfamiliar with this word) due to improper honing. Frown/mountain shape would be hard to fix due to the amount of hone wear. Ebay is a bit of gambling for the matter of straight razors. At least you can practise honing on it. As another option, if it has not been shipped you can ask for 'Cancel Transaction Request'.Last edited by ferroburak; 03-02-2011 at 06:23 PM.

I'd say the razor can't really be saved. A new shaving edge would be pretty close to the highest/narowest part of the frown, and if you trace a line straight to the heal from there you are way into the stabalizer. That is also some really really excessive hone wear on the razor. I would find something else; with so many good ones out there I wouldn't spend the time or effort on this.
