    Default Filarmonica Gift

    Gentlemen.

Thought you may be interested. I just had a lifelong friend return from a trip to South America. Tonight was a catchup with way too many red wines and lots of awesome indian food. Before he left I jokingly but hopingly emailed him a pic or three of several fine Filarmonica razors as an example of the gift I expected on his return. He found this in a flea market. It is a Doble Temple 8/8 with slight hone wear and light oxidisation. I am sooooo happy. Can't wait to see how she shaves.

Awesome! Aside from the fine reputation of the Filarmonica, I think that razor's particular pedigree guarantees that it will be a special shaver.

That is really nice. The only thing better than a great shaver is a great shaver with fond memories.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

It really is in quite good condition. Seems my fantastic photography does not do it justice.

I plan to restore the blade completely with a possible rescale on the horizon.
Still not sure about that because the scales are kind of nice.. pearl white. It's just they are typical Fili scales I guess.. ie not very good. And a little of the Filarmonica logo is faded.

I can see it looking really stunning in some darkish horn scales.
