Worth. Is this a statement or a question?? So you come on this forum appearing to show genuine interest. Disappointed with actual responses, you then go onto to ascertain value, your true intention. You dont really wana hone and use it do u, you've just constructed your sentence as such to deduce its only value.
You've posed the same question in another thread with a strop, only this time you've directly addressed its worth. We don't appreciate this. If you want a valuation, go to an antique store or pay for expert opinion.
Yeh it worth an absolute fortune and we're all extremely envious. You're right, you picked it up for 10 bucks in a thrift store and guess what, its true value is equal to my BMW. Damn, where do they find these gems?Last edited by Scipio; 03-10-2011 at 10:44 AM.

Thanked: 1I ask about the value to see if i over paid or if it's worth keeping and
Handing down to my kid or if the type of razor you just hone and use until it's to worn. I have no plans to sell this and definitely didn't think it was priceless or something. Like I said I am just very curious about the story behind it. And the strop I asked about it's worth because I haven't bought it yet and want to make sure I don't over pay. Don't be so quick to judge someone because they are new to this just because they ask simple questions.

Thanked: 1oh and no i am not disapointed with the results of my inquiries. in fact, the exact opposite is true, I am excited I love history and any bit of truth makes it that much more exciting. But who buys an antique anything and says to themselves "boy i hope its worthless and i REALLY hope I over paid for it". no one.

OK, everyone settle down. We don't do valuations on SRP, period. It is normal for a newbie to inquire about the value of their purchases but we have crossed paths on SRP with people that are only trying to make a buck on a lucky find.
Let's shake hands and move on.“If you always do what you always did, you will always get what you always got.” (A. Einstein)

Tjh1127 try to get us a pic of the stampings and we'll see what info we have on it. The pic doesn't have to be the best.

If you have a genuine interest in razors and possibly wish to indulge in this art, then please accept my apology, but do understand why one may infer motives to ascertain value from your questions and limited experience, coupled with the fact that at one point there were similar threads almost every week.
I look forward to reading about how you get on with your new finds.

Thanked: 1I like the looks of that razor. I picked up a German made straight at a gun/knife show for 5 or 10 dollars, a few years ago.
I wonder what mine is worth. I assume I didn't pay too much, due to it's good condition.
What I really want to know is the history behind my razor's manufacturer.
I wish my digi-cam was working, so I could post pics.
