    Default does any one recognize the makers mark "field"

    i just got this razor today, it has two stampings. One is an iron cross, the other is the name field. I'm curious to know if any one has any info on these stamps, i want to knwo the story behind it so bad.

    ALFRED FIELD & CO
    Westfield Terrace, Sheffield and Edmund St., Birmingham
    at least 1892 - at least 1919.

    This may well have nothing to do with your piece though. Any other markings on it, particularly the shank? Pictures would be very helpful if you can put some up. Welcome to SRP.
