Cool Next razor will be a tattoo.

My next straight razor is going to be a tattoo. I wanted to get it on my neck but work won't go for that so it'll have to go elsewhere. I can hardly wait, 6 weeks to go.

Anyone else have a tattoo of a razor? Post pics!

I don't have one but it sounds like a cool idea for ink.

Yea a straight with blood dripping off it, that would be cool. Maybe even use real blood for Ink. Where's Jimmy?

This is the best straight razor tattoo I've seen so far. I will definitely be referencing this one when designing mine.

I would wait a bit longer before getting a tattoo of a straight, lest you end up with a lifelong reminder of something you tried for a while and didn't end up sticking with.

Thanks for the concern but I've been getting tattooed for 21 years now. To cover all my ink I have to wear a long sleeve shirt. I'm just happy I still have room to get a straight razor tattoo.

But let's say I do stop shaving and collecting straight razors. It will still be a really cool tattoo that I will always enjoy looking at. That's really all that matters when getting a tattoo anyways.

I just posted this thread because I am curious to hear from others who want to get one too or have gotten one.

I have considered it as well. Though I think I will probably have a portrait of my daughter done before I get one of a straight. My problem is finding the time to travel to a good portrait tattoo artist since it does not seem to be a strong area for the artists around here.

Troggie - My artist recently started doing portraits and offered to do my sons for free (practice). I usually never pass up a free tattoo but that is a risk I'm not even willing to take.

The really good and well known portrait tattoo artists are very expensive that's for sure. The best I've seen though is Nikko Hurtado.

    Good luck!

I believe Alex / Philadelph has a tattoo of the first razor he made. It should be in the Ink Slingers thread in the Finer Things area.

Yeah I love his work.. I was actually in LA last November but since my trip was last minute he was booked up with no way to fit me in. I may be heading back this November ( I find out around June/July ) and if so will definitely be making my appointment then.
