Post photos and details in the 'workshop' forum and some of the restoration guys may be able to advise you.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

We love pictures, and usually reward them with copious comments. Posts without pictures, not so much.

Rust in the edge. that is a not good sign. you will need to remove a lot metal in that blade.
hand sanding or buffer will speed up your restoration process.
80 grit and move up untill 2000. and see what happens

In my opinion your best option is disposing of this one in the trash and getting something much better. Ideally, something that already shaves so that you can avoid the chance of another mistake like this one.

Unless you don't mind throwing good money after bad.

I agree with Gugi... With all that pitting at the edge and above it, it is unlikely that you will be able to hone it out.

But... sometimes the pitting isn't as deep as it looks, so if you have the ability to do it yourself it might be worth honing out the chips and see what the metal under the pits looks like. I don't think I would spend money on it though.

Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

    Kropp,

Not being negative - I have an old Solingen no-name that I use for testing etc, and I have got to the stage where the edge has reached the pits etc in the blade, and unfortunately that is it for that razor

I hope you can do something with yours as I really like my Kropp razors

    Good luck !

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ
