Thanked: 0can anyone help me identify my ebay purchase?
Hey All,
I just bought what I thought was a red imp 133 off of ebay this week. It just arrived in a very nice red imp box. However, the razor itself only has the words LEADER on one side of the spike and extra hollow & mfg in Germany on the other.
Does anyone know if this is a true red imp razor or did I get hit with the old bait and switch? Not very familiar with these razors so I don't have any knowledge regarding them. Thanks all.

Help. I just purchased a razor off of ebay that was supposed to be a red imp. It came with a red imp box but the razor inside didn't look like a red imp to me.
The scales are a golden yellow color with ingraved etchings on both sides. On one side of the spike is stamped the word LEADER and on the other side are the words "extra ground & mfg. in germany". There are no markings identifying the manufacturer.
Does anyone know if there was a razor made by FW Engles that didn't carry the FW Engles name on the razor somewhere? I know that there was an FW Engles Leader but the ones that I've seen always had the manufacturers name on the blade somewhere. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.Last edited by capstain; 03-19-2011 at 05:24 PM.

I recently acquired a #133 Morris Red Imp with 3 pins and a particularly nasty spike/square point. The point is like a needle and I must shave with great care with this razor.
It is in very good condition and I include a photo. Got it from Sham.....JERRY
OOOPS! Pass the styptic please.

Thanked: 1936That's a great looking blade. Sham seems to have a sweet spot for Red Imperials and his edges are pretty sweet too.
