My GEM PTFE Coated Stainless SE blades have much the same cutting edge size as my conventional DE blades.

There are some SE blades (e.g. Feather, Derby, Permasharp) made for 'Shavette' type & Cobra razors that are thinner and longer - are these what you are referring to ?
