Default question on parker no sharpen razor, please?

I just purchased one that came with shark blades. but being entirely new to this game does this mean any double edge blade is game for this razor? Are the feather straight edge blades compatable too? thanks!

Yes the Parker can use a regular Double Edge blade snapped in half. If you look at that Shark blade you will notice it looks just like...a Double Edge blade snapped in half, lol.

The Shark blades are inexpensive, but don't recommend you buy them. IMO you'll start to use it, and decide you either want to use the smoother feeling real straight or the Double Edge. If you end up with the DE, you'll then have blades to snap in half.

I will use the shavette when running very late. When trying to save a few minutes of strop before and clean up after fast shave. If you are just learning, the shavette/Parker may be difficult. Please dont let it be a turn off to the experience. Being light, and very sharp, it likely will be more difficult to learn with than a "regular straight". If you feel using the straight isn't for you, give a regular straight a try.

    Have a blast

You can get a DE sampler from SRD which has like 5 different brands for you to try. I highly recommend Feather blades though, sharp as can be, and really smooth.
