Thanked: 433Felt Pad Razor Works
I found one of these in nearly mint condition. Does anyone know what oil was used in the felt pad and if this was, or if re-oiling the pad is even a good idea?
Also is this an American razor or a re-branded German? It honed up great.

Cool razors! I have a nice one and the original box says "Sheffield Made" I often wondered what "Unpolished Diamond Antiseptic" was applied to the felt! Sold out of St. Louis!

Mine is still pristine.I have not used it though. It does have a patent# on the back tang. I wonder if that would shed any light?

Thats very cool! Thanks for the info! Sounds like you could put a bit of mineral oil on the felt and the razor's edge would be less prone to rusting! No wonder mine is so pristine! Thanks for finding it!
