    Congratulations on acquiring a beautiful razor. May you have many wonderful shaves with it.

    BTW...Don't worry about the etching coming off the blade when you strop or clean the blade. That will only begin to occur after your 10,000th shave with the razor.

    Congrats on your eye to pick a gorgeous factory custom. Don't think I'd worry about the gold wash. The mentioned maintainence will work fine. As far as strop wear, Dovo has made a few razors. Feel comfort that this razor is to be used. As pretty as it is, it does not require extreme pampering.
