Aren't the spine and tang supposed to be black?

Looks like the black rubbed off?

Yes, on the edge of the shoulder/tang on the front and the back, not on the spine though. You're probably confused by the light reflections. The goal of my photographs is not to make a 'pretty picture', but to show the actual razor, so no under/overexposures and high contrasts or shadows.

The razor is essentially the way it comes from the factory plus a shaving edge.

Do you have a photograph of razor with shiny black enamel - I am very interested to learn how you solve the problem with the high contrasts and reflections.

I'm thinking of buying a Black Star and was curious about the durability of the black on the spine and tang. In the picture it looks like the black was rubbed off.

Well, on your picture of your Dovo Astrale, your razor looks rusted, so I'm sure you understand how challenging is for an amateur with a toy camera to take pictures of shiny objects
In my experience the black is pretty durable, certainly way more durable than the gold wash on the blade. The only gold stuff that seems to last is on vintage razors. Here's one that's many decades and has it all intact:
