Thanked: 94Le Help
Looking for some help IDing a manufacturer for this rasoir. What I know is that
1) It is French
2) It was described as Carmaguis on ebay, which means it is supposed to come from the Carmague region. This region is famous for horses and cattle, not blades.

Six years later, a reply.
Nothing is impossible
It's a french straight razor from the city of Nogent (absolutely not in Camargue) ; the cutlery is Thuillier-Lefrant (was a tool and scissors makers too).

Thanked: 104Look at that diligence! ClarkGable is a bonafide detective on the case. Now if only you could find me a Henry Keidel & Co. razor, I would try and get you knighted, or something equally impressive.

Thanked: 480I am supremely impressed with Mr Gable for posting this info. I have to ask, what prompted you to look so far into the past posts? Not many bother to do that, and there is a treasure trove of info buried in there. =)

@Pie : I'm always looking on SRP for posts about french straight razors, especially on Paris cutlers, by historic curiosity (and I always surprised to see that you found here in US a tons of french straight razors ---> i am jalous ) and, suddenly, I seen Pauly request post. As I recognize the logo (but not remember immediately the cutler name), i have done some fast researches.
@Pauly : Glad to know that you appreciate this razor, I had during some weeks a frameback from the cutler (before to give it to a friend), and was really pleasant.
@Mr Z : Hmmm... Henry Keidel & Co. Nothing is impossible, but in this case, it's a mission for Ethan HuntI am looking for parisian straight razors
