Randy, thanks for posting the video. If I'm not mistaken, this video is at You Tube, I'm a Mastodon as far as computers go, but I have the latest version of Real Player and if you go to You Tube, you can download it from there by using R.P..

The reason that I'm posting this is because I couldn't figure out how to save the video from your link. With Real Player, you can make a Folder and save anything that you use it for downloading. OH! I do use Firefox for my browser!

Any help on how to save and view the link would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the link and Smooth Shaving

On the bottom right of the page it says "Slow Download"...click on that button.

    Hope this helps,

Thanks again, Randy. Yes, I did the slow download at work. It downloaded as I went about doing other thing. Then I saved it onto my USB and brought it home.

NOW!!! For anyone that thinks I might be ruining my razor edge when I take down the metal using my 1X30" Harbor Freight belt sander, need to take real hard look at this video. Long after they blade is heat treated it is ground and then ground some more, even on the cutting edge to the point you see sparks. At 800 and 1000 grit on my sander I never see sparks, nor do I even fell any heat at all. These guys, doing the Hollow Grind on the machinery are having to use a piece of cloth backing against their hand to keep from getting burned. On some of the grinder, yet, they are using water and you can see the steam and heat from the honing stones as they put in the hollow grind on the blades. Later you can really see some sparks fly as they grind down the edge even further. I have even seen Heribert Wacker in a video grinding away at the blades and some sparks flying as well.

Now, I am not advocating taking your eBay or antique store bought or friend bought razor out to the shop and putting it to a bench grinder, but just saying that a 800/1000 grit belt doesn't generate the heat that so many envision me doing to my blades. It's so heat free that I really can't see that it goes above normal room temperatures.

    Great video Randy!!
