Default Dovo special with imitation tortoise

Got it in the mail yesterday, very nice looking. But I had a question for the ones that already own one......does yours have washers between the blade and scales? Only reason I ask is because my Best Quality has them and my Special is loose for about the first inch out of the scales. Then it tightens up the rest of the way. Was just curious. It was a very nice shave none the less.

It is not uncommon for new Dovos to be a little loose around closed. If you look at the pivot pins, you'll see one side is a stamped out washer look-alike and the other side is an actual peened piece of rod with a washer. If you place the washer look-alike down on a hard surface and gently tap on the peen with another hard object, you can tighten the pin up. Go very gently and aim carefully; it's easy to do another tap later, but you can't undo a tap once its done.

Huh. Well thats cool. Its not like its a deal breaker and I figured Dovo wouldn't mess up a razor. I just wanted to be sure. Thanks holli!
