    Default Is it a Pradat-Brun?

I just purchased a straight advertised as a "Pradat-Brun" on eBay. It's case is positively a pradat-brun case complete with frencfrench. The razor however may be in question. The razor has absolutely no identification on it except that on the tang is the word and the parens are included "STAND". What is the likelihood that I've actually obtained a "Pradat-Brun"? Thanks for any insiight.

    jebib3,

Did you consult the SRP wiki yet? There is a list of razor brands listed there as "do" and "don't" buys.

As for your particular brand of razor in question...I have never heard of it. Perhaps another SRP member who is more knowledgable about straight razors can assist you.

    Good luck!

Pradat Brun is a good French company. The company was founded by Pradat Chaput(Jean?) in 1904. Located Thiers 36, Gambetta Street. In 1947 the company became Sarl Pradat Chaput & Cie.
    The razor photo would interesting.
