Wish Lists
as of now there are 2 razors on my wish list, trust me there's a much more expansive wish list, but immediately this is what i've got on the brain.
1)Dovo- Blackwood Grenadille
Dovo 1176815 'master's' Straight Razor
-its nothing fancy, but i've held it.. and it completes me
2)Baxter of California- Blue Steel
Baxter of California ‘Blue Steel’ Straight Razor | Finer Cut
-anything completely blacked out is for me
3)I currently have a Dovo- Ebony(Ebonholz)
BUT I need new scales.. any ideas?? I'm thinking something from Razor Scales & Pin kits
So.. thats where we're at.. I'm always interested to hear what other people have on their to buy lists, and seeing that I'm relatively new to the game, i'm always appreciative and open to suggestions and feedback.
Please.. share your wish lists and comment

Is the Baxters made by Hart? I'd probably only go for one of the Dovos and add something like a Thiers Issard. I gave up on having a wish list as such, I actually now just like looking at what comes along through the classifieds and through eBay and trying to pick up what appeals to me.

tsa7x13,
Nice wish-list
The Dovo laminate 'Pakkawood' scales are very nice but quite heavy. The Olive wood scales are nice too. I got quite a number of these Dovo scales from Mr Dempster at 'InvisibleEdge' for some project razors I was working on, and they have done very well over the years.
You might consider getting some custom scales made. Mr Neil Miller (Hand Made Straight Razor Scales) has re-scaled quite a few razors for me in a variety of materials - my favourite is polished translucent rams-horn - quite stunning. His work is superb
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ

I actually own the Dovo Masters and I love. Like you said it feels great in the hand I believe due to the weight it has.

Only thing that I kinda don't like is that the etching on the spine. I don't know if I would call it an etching really "more like some kind of metallic paint or something" its not etched into the razor more then it applied on top. For me this one thing makes me worry when I strop because I have noticed a bit of ware to the paint already no matter how hard I try to strop perfectly.
The razor it self I do have to say Rocks and is a super clean shave.

Thanked: 240Yes baxter's razors are made by hart. If your looking for a heavy grind made with very stiff steel they are great razors.
My wish list would also include a TI of some type I already have their base 5/8 in stamina wood so on my wish list is an original le gerlot or one of the newer ones made by TI either bone or rams horn.
