Default Anyone have any information on this razor?

Does anyone own a razor with the same or similar marking, or have any info about the Bingham marking they can share with me? Bingham is the only mark on the razor, & I couldn't find anything except information on Tally Ho's and some others razors while searching.

    Thanks
    Louis.

If you can say, what the symbol/letter was before Bingham.
I'll try to identify your razor.
    You have a choice:
    1. C.T.Bingham, Sheffield, "Tally-Ho",
    2. W.Bingham Co., Cleveland, "XLCR", "BBB",
    3. William J.Bingham, Sheffield, "Old".

I see 5 different enteries for Bingham

C.T Bingham Late F. Fenney Tally Ho Sheffield c1860. F.Fenny was in business as late as 1858,and C.T.Bingham took over his business by1860. R.S.Stenton, 1 platt &229 pearl streets, New York city was a agent for Bingham.

Bingham Germany c1841-1948 "Bingham's best Brand" is etched on the blade.

W.Bingham Co. Cleveland c1841-1948 located in Cleveland, Ohio, at 146-150 water street, and also at 97-99 superior street in 1895. In addition to the firms name, they also used the trademarks "XLCR" (excelsior), and "BBB" (Bingham's Best Brand).

    J.Bingham g1875-1900

    Select Bingham Ogden

That's all there is for this one

    Hope this helps

Bingham Germany and W.Bingham Co. are the same.
J.Bingham and William J.Bingham are the same.
"Select Bingham&Ogden" was the Ford & Medley trademark.

Am I wrong to assume that it shouldn't be J. Bingham? If the manufacture dates above are correct I think this razor was made a little beforehand. The tail looks a little bit too stubby to be of the 1900s. I can't be sure of this but by comparison I just think it may be mid 1800s?

The letter before Bingham, wich is half missing, I'm almost certian is a G. The half thats their is identical to the G in Bingham. I dont know if that will help or not.

    Thanks
    Louis.
