Hi!
I've had the good fortune to come across a real Challenge Razor Works razor as well. Mine is an original 'Challenge' acid etched with MOP monkey tail covers and bone scales.
Here is a link for all the info on manufacturers and brand names I could find. This is a good link for guys who want to know what years a brand was in manufacture and where. Mine is a Sheffield blade imported by Challenge. Yours probably is as well.
Straight Razor Manufacturers and Dates of Operation will help identify razor years by the manufacturer brand. Mine is 1891-1898. I cannot believe how nice your and my razors are for their age. Amazing.
Good luck on the restore.!!!-- Any day I get out of bed, and the first thing out of my mouth is not a groan, that's going to be a good day --

Thanked: 46It is always nice to have family razors! Yours are top quality razors. I shave with both Robeson and Genco blades. They are excellent blades and great shavers, and are difinitely worth bringing back to life! Good luck with them, and happy shaving, wildhog
