    Default Dating a Joseph Rodgers

I won this straight razor on eBay.

According to W(illiam) crown R(ex) mark this razor was produced under the reign of William IV of England (1830-1837), however blade seems newer than this.

Could you help me to date this razor?

    Thanks

I don't know him, but if he's a nice guy go for it! I don't judge.

Rodgers and WB have made some really unique, interesting blades. I had this one in my watch list.

What makes you say the blade looks newer? I've no doubt the stamp is accurate. Looks perfectly legit to me. It might have had a regrind, but perhaps someone else will chime in on that. Apart from that it looks the part to me. The razor is around 180 years old.
