Default Treated sock for razor storage?

Hello all. I saw on a website, that I cannot find any longer, a sock like material that was specially treated for storage of razors. They said storing a razor in the sock would prevent rust. First, does any one know what I am talking about and can add a link? And second, has anyone used them and do they work as advertised? Thanks!

Jarrod's The Superior Shave site has something like that. I was curious about others' experience with that as well.

Ahh yes, i have them for my hand planes but the ones I saw were small to hold one razor. And of course I searched and searched yesterday, posted this and then found them. They are at the bottom of the page...has anyone used these? I guess like the previous post, if they work for handplanes, they would work for razors right?

I have a couple of those holders and I really like them. I needed a few more (damn RAD...), so i found this site: Sack-Ups. They have some nice rolls that will hold more than one knife, but they're mostly for shorter pocket knives. So I decided to buy a couple of the sacks designed for rifles and make my own razor holder. Haven't got that far yet so i don't know how it's gonna turn out, but for $8 i got a sack big enough to make little socks for all my razors and have some left over. Like this only I got the 72" long one:

    Amazon.com: 56" long Sack-Up: Sports & Outdoors

So, we'll see how it goes, might have been better off just buying the pre-made ones...

I have used the gun socks for years, and I live in a humid climate. They work great for my shotguns, and would work great for razors also. Fine idea to cut one up to make the little socks. Every six months or so I will spray the gun sock with silacone. Can"t say if it helps or not, but it eases my mind. Best Regards and Happy Shaving, wildhog
