Default Dating a Joseph Rodgers and Sons

Size: 18.7 KBI wonder if any one could help me with info about this razor I have. Its a Josephs Rodgers and Sons, its marked as "cutlers to their majesties" and then what looks like "N 9 6" it could be "N O 6" Norfolk Street Sheffield. It has Hallmark (?) of a kind of cross and a star. Im curious to know more about its age, and im a little concerned about trying to polish it up in case its a better than just a junk razor for a noob like me to practice on. Its in really really good condition, no damage to scales, they metal though some spots of rust does not appear to have any deep spots and seems more tarnished than pitted. There is little to no signs of obvious wear, although there is a kind of circular scratching on both sides but its not deep at all.

Any info people can give me about this razor would be great

    Thanks!
