Sounds like life in general, my friend. Just a bunch of choices & their consequences.

Some time ago I was pretty sad whenever I missed a razor I really wanted. And eventually I got pretty much every single one of them. Sometimes I had to pay more, or much more, sometimes less, or much less. And now there are so many of them sitting here getting used only once every two years, that when I think about it it's just silly. I've discovered that it's far easier to buy a razor, than to sell it (at least for me, though I'm well know for my laziness).
Anyways, I've gotten to the point that I don't really care that much for any razor anymore as I have plenty of them already and any one I really want I can just get, I'm sure even on a JC wootz I could make an offer that the owner can't refuse

Now there are other things in life that are irreversible and those we just have to learn to live with, or without. (And, unlike those fine gentlemen above me I'm not going to single out nationalities since I'm a bit of a cosmo )

I'm fairly lucky (with the classifieds, definitely not with e-bay) in that I've managed to get just about all the razors I've really wanted, from my near 7/8 Wonderedge to my beloved Mappin & Webb 4 day set and beyond.

Sometimes when I feel the pressure to buy, even when the price is a little too steep, I find it's best to walk away and think about it for awhile. When I come back if the razor is gone it wasn't meant to be; if it's still there maybe it's a sign that the razor needs a good home

I guess when I think about it, the one that got away was a beautiful 6/8 Puma.... man, I'd love to have one of those some day!

I won't even get into failed e-bay bids.... reason enough to say you should never get your hopes up with the 'bay, and probably the topic of a different thread.
