Thanked: 0Martens and Injun red 103
I just picked up a red Injun 103 at a gun show. anybody know much about this razor? It is in nice shape an shaves well but it is soooo thin. I am used to thicker razors. the Martens too are good shavers. outside of my double duck they are my best shavers. have a stone from New York with what looks like foam in the middle of it. Ever seen anything like that?

Thanked: 46Many barbers would use lather instead of water when honing, and I have done it myself. Really cant say that I could tell a difference in the final result. It does seem that the lather would clog the pores of the hone. Anyway, when I have used lather, I would scrub the hone with a old toothbrush and hot water afterwards. Best Regards, wildhog
