Thanked: 13245The Day the Music Died....
So today was a great day, and a sad day all at the same time... Today was the day that my RAD died, I am no longer actively hunting any razor...
I am sure I will still run across some that I'll pick up if the deal is right, but as of today there isn't one, "I have to have" I snagged a C-MON Cadillac, and it is on the way home to me, that was the last razor on my must have list...
So I am officially shutting down all the E-bay alerts as of tonight, if I feel like looking, I will when the mood strikes me, but no more anxiously opening the e-mails looking to see if "that" razor is there or hitting the "Newly Listed" search to see if somebody mis-spelled or mis-listed one

Hmmm. I've never bothered to make, or even consider to make, a have to have list. Now I'm not sure if I'm better or worse off for it.
Anyway, Glen, you have both my congratulations and condolences.

I was watching that C-MON and thought about a snipe as I have 4 other C-MONS and debated going for them all. Passed up on a C-MON special the other day as well. I'm getting to the point that there is not a lot of razors I'm looking for either. I'm sure another AD will pop up, or maybe it is just a temporary bout of sanity before RAD flares up yet once again.

A big congratulations, and also my condolences, on your achievement.
Like Utopian, I never made a list, and I'm glad I didn't. I'm afraid it would be like setting a finite goal.
On a sidenote, perhaps we will have better luck on the bay now

I am trying to do the same. No list but i did get my DD lifetime about a month ago. I did remove the Email notification from the Class. That has helped.
Now how long do you think it will last before you decided to take a look then it starts up all over again? LOL

Congrats on getting the Caddy. My 'to get list' is a Sig X5 and a Interarms Mauser P08. Like you I rarely buy razors anymore. Not that more than a hundred is enough, but my insanity is moving in a different direction.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Man, I had to listen to the whole song, I was a freshman in HS when that song was a hit. Brought back a few memories. I hope you don't get afflicted with another AD in the meantime.

Well, Glen, I guess congratulations are in order... maybe!
Now I have to go make a list. I know they are big shoes to fill, but I will give it my best shot. I swear and promise.
For those who wish to help me in this endeavor, donations are being accepted at my paypal account.

I've got about 1 or 2 more to get. A Wacker, made by Herr Heribert Wacker and a Stainless Steel blade. I've seen some nice HESS blades that were Ice Tempered and I think after those 2 it will be a done deal as well. Of course, there is that Ivory brush handle I keep looking for.....

I never made a list either, but we all have had a mental one I am sure! I have found I like some of the "different" things I have stumbled across more than the things on my mental list! Every time I get a razor more scarce than one on my list, one disappears from my list. It does not have to be "desirable" nor expensive . I just have to like it! My list has dwindled to the point where I don't care if I ever get a Cadillac, nor a Reaper, nor any razor, really! One thing is for certain, No one can have them all and I surely have more than my share. Congrats, Glen on reaching the plateau. A collection is complete as the collector is satisfied. If one is never satisfied, it is truly an obsession. JMHO, Tom

I rest my case.
