Default How to travel with your razor?

I am going on a trip next week and was wondering the best way to travel with your razor, brush, soap, etc.

I was thinking of putting the razor in a plastic toothbrush holder, the soap in a ziploc bag, and probably the same for the brush.

    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks!

Toothbrush same reading glasses cases work well for razors. You might try taking your brush to a local pharmacy to see if they have any pill bottles large enough to hold your brush. If they do, drill a couple small holes in the bottom to help it vent. Then you will have an almost crush proof travel case for your brush.

See I never thought of a pill bottle or any other bottle for my brush. And I just threw out a bunch of bottles a couple days ago cleaning out the medicine cabinet.

    Thanks bharner!

ScottS often brings a brush to meets in a map tube. It's a clear plastic cylinder with softer red top and bottom caps. I believe both have holes in them, which will let out excess moisture. For razors, I like the hard blue Dovo cases or a cardboard coffin (with an extra hard box as protection) or razor rolls. Any soap/AS goes into plastic bags, just in case of leakage. I don't typically travel with a strop, because I would rather improvise than risk folding a nice piece of leather.

Normally, however, I just travel with a DE and shave with water only.

I've got a little leather travel pouch that holds two straight razors. I've also got a turn back travel brush that comes with it's own tube. Those nickel plated shaving soap stick holders make good recepticles for a shaving brush. They usually have holes already in the cap.
