I acquired two Le Grelot razors that were obviously made for distribution by a US company. They are great shavers and I got them in a lot of four Le Grelot razors that included two P-Hospital razors.

On side one is "Le Grelot, Thiers, France" + the "bell" symbol.
On side two is "Universal Cutlery New York 150.
Both have cream colored plastic scales.

I have been unable to find a Universal Cutlery New York in my research. Obviously, Le Grelot made the razors for the NY firm.

The closest thing I have found is that the "Landers, Frary & Clark" company in Connecticut had a trademark for some "Universal" products and was eventually bought out by GE. I have no idea whether this might be the company. The wiki site has the following on Landers, Frary & Clark.
Landers, Frary & Clark - Straight Razor Place Wiki

I have a feeling that this is not the "Universal Cutlery New York" referred to on the razors.

Do any of you have any information on Universal Cutlery New York that might help?

Thanks!
