Guessing the box is not original. Are there markings on the other side of the tang? Any pics would be helpful.

No the only markings on the razor is the "Sheffield English Steel" shown in the picture. Sorry there isn't much to work with.

I have a round point razor, same type scales as yours, same tang stamp. No other identifying marks.

If yours is like mine, it will be an excellent shaver.

I actually bought it thinking it was a round point based of the photos. I wasn't disappointed though when I got it because it is in such great condition. I just cleaned it up and need to take it to the hones when I get some time. Still don't know a whole lot about the razor though...

It's a generic Sheffield razor, the same as you get generic Solingen razors. It looks like a very nice blade though and once properly honed should be a great shaver.

I can't say, who made this razor. But most likely by American company.

What exactly generic Solingen/sheffield razors are?
    Thanx.

    Why is that, Manah?

Razors made in Solingen or Sheffield but without a maker's mark. Good shavers IME.

I can be wrong. It's only my supposition.
Why? Many English knife-makers opened companies in US.
Such trademarks: Sheffield Steel, Sheffield mfg, Sheffield Fine Cutlery Co. and etc, were from US.
And here, Sheffield and English steel, it's advertising of qualitative steel. IMO.
