Thanked: 1Scale Material
Gentlemen,
Does anyone know a good source for horn or bone scale material? I am in the process of restoring a couple of straight razors and am looking for a good source of buffalo horn scales, preferably blonde or honey. The knife making websites typically list scales that are no larger than 5 inches.
Thanks for the help

Masecraft has been mentioned by many. They only list 5" pieces, but apparently you can contact them and they will sort you out.

Thanked: 1936Masecraft supply: Masecraft Supply for knife making supplies, inlay materials, pool cue and pen making supplies.
I also recently obtained some off the bay in black. Just watch the length as anything shorter than 6" is useless for us.Southeastern Oklahoma/Northeastern Texas helper. Please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you and God Bless, Scott

Well, you can mosey on down to your local teaching hospital and get some material after their done with the donated cadavers.

Thanked: 70I have a question about making micarta. I made my first attempt at making paper micarta using the resin I use for making fiberglass repairs on Corvettes. It has a purpleish
tint. Does anyone know of a clear resin to use?
