I would contact the vendor then as apparently it isn't shave ready and that is on them to make sure of if they are selling it that way.

I agree with Joe. It may just be "factory honed" and not really ready to shave. In either case I'd contact the store you bought it from.

How have you liked your Dovo? How many times have you shaved with it? These may seem silly questions, but they can tell us a lot. Also, where are you located? We have members from just about everywhere around the world, and there may be someone near by who can help you out.

I am from greece! I dont know what i do! have shave with my dovo about 5-6 times! its new!
But and contact with store what can they do? I am thinking to honed with 12000 grid stone and stopping about 50 times and then i see.

To start: Go here: Member Introductions and post a thread introducing yourself. There may be someone in the Introductions forum who is in your region. I only know ancient Greek, and not well enough to hold a conversation about razors! The Member Map shows a couple members near Athena though.

For what it is worth, what you are experiencing is what a lot of new guys experience as they start to shave with a straight razor. Keep reading here, and asking questions and you will be able to figure things out and find success. Don't give up!
