Thanked: 170Boker find, info wanted
Found this Boker at an Antique Mall on Thursday. The spine is marked "H. Boker and Co." on the front - there is also what could be a stylized antler logo - and "Germany" on the back. It has nice spine work, and the scales are "carved". I'm interested in any info on age, scale material, possible historical significance, and any other info any of you can provide. Thanks, members.

That's a boker 1056. I have two of them and they are awesome. This razor is what started my rad.
Yours looks to be in pretty good shape.

I hope the pictures are there because you bought it. If you did not buy it, you should go back for it. Personally, I would not have been able to leave it. Very nice find in the wild.

Thanked: 170Oh yes - it is now in my collection! I'm not sure how much polishing I'm going to do on it - this one might be a candidate for "less is more". I did use a bit of liquid polish on it before I photographed it.

My two are in this thread. Dirtychrome worked his magic and made them into my prettiest blades.

Thanked: 170Looking at jcsixx's photos, it looks like the tip of my blade has been reground. I was wondering about that - the spine work looked like it was chopped off at the tip of the blade.
