I should just point out that this is just for interest sake and I'm gearing up to start shaving with a cut throat (straight) razor, so while I want this thing to work it's just as a curiosity piece.

I picked up a Gillette Adjustable (1963 vintage I think, it's either a Slim or Fatboy) for a good price (as in I don't consider it much at all) and have managed to get it pretty well freed up and working BUT it has a broken locator spring. I think it's referred to as the "red spring" if that helps.
Anyway, I'm hoping someone might have one on hand they don't mind parting with ummm ... cheap.
This is only intended to be a curiosity piece but I have a "thing" about things working if I can manage it.
