THE DIPLOMAT – Does anyone know anything about this razor?
I bought this razor.
There is no information about the manufacturer by the seller.
The only thing that we know is that it is made in Germany.
It is full hollow, 6/8 and with Ox bone scales.
Engraved on the tang are the words
“Forged & real Hollow Ground in Germany”
On the blade there is “The Diplomat Set ready for use”
Does anybody know anything about this razor?
Is it a good razor at all?

Very nice looking razor. I'm a sucker for a worked spine.

I'm not sure, about this razor.
But trademark "Diplomat" was used by E.Lüttges & Companie.
The company was in business since 1868. Registered 10th April 1900. Located Junkerstrasse 22, Solingen-Ohligs.Alex Ts.

Damn good looking razor you have there. Sorry I can't offer any help. Those scales with that spine do something for me. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you very much gentlemen.
I will consider this as an E.Lüttges razor, since this is the only information I have.
Thank you indeed!

Today I shaved for the first time with this razor.
I had honed it yesterday with the Nortons1k/4k/8k and the Chinese finisher.
The razor gave me an excellent shave! Deep and smooth. I am very happy with this one.

It's not a big problem.
A lot of razors are difficult to identify.
I have a razor, that I can't identify for a long time.Alex Ts.
