Default Blade help (an a little history)!

I'm looking for a bit of help.

Out bargain hunting and I picked up a Kuckuck duo Solingen for 15 bucks! I know it's German, hence the GREAT metal but I can't seem to find any information on the company who made it. Does anyone have an idea on company and which metal they used? If it helps the blade has a picture of a building on it with the words "koln". My guess is a city, but I'm not sure. Any help it appreciated.

    Cheers.

I'm afraid I can't help you with that brand.

I believe you are right about the town though, it sure sounds like the German city of Köln (Cologne)

Um, all of them, any of them that have been in front of me over all these years....

Trademark Kuckuck Duo was used by Johann Emil Kronenberg, Solingen-Aufderhöhe.
The company was in business since 1894 till about 1986.

I'm impressed you found that trademark!

Neat! I am always amazed at what you guys come up with! This is cool! What is the bridge and where is it? Challenge! Is it "London Bridge" in Arizona? Probably not!

Looks like it's the bridge and castle found in Koln, Germany. Pretty accurate depiction if you ask me!

Good eye! Only one slip-up. That's the Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral), not a castle.
