What blade works in these? I tired to insert a DE blade but couldn't.

A DE blade won't work. Durham made a blade especially for this razor. Send me a PM with your address and I will send you a couple for you to try.

Uh, you mean the ones that look like DEs only one side has a faux frameback thingamawhatzit? I used one in a Gem Micromatic (should be spell "Microtraumatic") but my blades aren't shave quality. I'll try one of those.. If I don't post ever again you'll know what happened.

No, not at all. I don't have access to a camera or I would take a picture for you. They are double edged and have a slot in the middle and are longer than a regular DE and much thicker too. Durham Duplex also used the same blade in a "T" handled 3 piece razor.

You can find them in a Lowe's or Home Depot as a carpet cutter blade.

By the way a regular single edged "scraper" blade is not a shaving blade either, but at least you can still buy those that are made to shave with. Micromatics are very harsh to me.

Okay, thanks Will. I'll remember that. Carpet cutters. Lowe's or Home Depot.

Thanks, Walt. It's okay, between the DE and the str8s (haven't tried a Rolls razor yet) I'm set. My interest in them is slight.
