    Default my first anique experience

Woke up today and decided to pickup some antique razors today. As it turns out there were a few for sale ranging from $5-60 so I found two that looked nice to my untrained eye each about $25
what I found was a J.A. Henckels Twin Works, and a E.C. Simmons Keen Kutter. Both need a little cleaning up and honeing im sure. but the blades appear to be in good shape. - sorry if the pics are not the best a camera is on my list of things to get - Have a look and let me know what you think.Name: DSC00149.jpg

Ya did good for the price. They are both good shavers. Both show a bit of hone wear but that should not effect the shave quality. Get them cleaned up, honed and back in service.

Yeeha! That's the way it's done! Clean them up (or not...sometimes a little color adds to the mystique), get them honed, and get them back where they should be...next to your face cutting whiskers! Nice! Two more razors brought back to life, ready for another hundred years.

Mmmm lovely. I wish I had something like those to work on ATM.
There is a lot of great info in the 'Workshop' forum and the WIKI.
I'd hate to lose that gold wash.
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

It's been mentioned already, but the gold wash comes off VERY easily, be very careful with any metal polish on that one.
