I like the look of white scales with a polished shiny blade, it’s clean, minimalistic and cool (as in ice), choosing to shave with a straight razor is clean, minimalistic and cool so perhaps white scales go with the territory.

Just my opinion and 2 cents worth, I better get back to work now.

I mostly prefer black scales. For me, they don't draw attention away from the blade, which is the part I really like. Light/white scales can also look very nice, though. In my own roll, the vast majority are black horn or synthetics, and of the white, most are ivory. (It just worked out that way - I like ivory but I don't seek it out.)

I think the only color's i wouldn't be caught dead with would be pink or purple.... I'm not a fan of flowers either.. lol

    Any Takers???

By the sounds of it, most people seem to approve of white scales..?

I have a couple of Dovos with white plastic handles, I prefer it over black. I have had plenty of vintage straights with white plastic handles as well. Only one of them stayed white through the years (old Geneva, pre-Genco), everything else yellowed with age.
