    I just scored a pile of brazing rods that I'm going to use for pinning, if that's possible.

    Somebody did a nice job repairing that tang. I wouldn't worry about the brazed joint. It should be at least as strong as a welded joint. Somebody REALLY liked this razor. If it were junk, they probably wouldn't have had it repaired. It definitely adds to the character and history of the razor.
    It it's silver soldered or silver brazed, I wouldn't worry about it either. Unless you plan on driving the blade into a tree trunk and hanging your anvil from it, it should never come loose.

    It didn't seem too. I was worried about that also, but I'm two shave in and it's still really good.
    It's going into my rotation, so we'll see.
