Thanked: 433I use bubble padded CD mailers, then fold them in half and tape them up completely.

You can mail anything in envelopes; if it gets big/heavy they charge by the size/weight. Take it to the PO instead of just sticking a stamp on, and they'll meter it.
That said, I wrap razors in bubble wrap, then wrap that with filler paper, and put them into boxes. I used to do bubble wrap and bubble envelopes, but I have had a handful (over two years, so not bad) of scales break that way. And the small boxes are cheaper for me.

Thanked: 1936I agree that the usps small flat rate boxes are worth the added security of wrapping in bubble wrap and the rigidity of the box itself...you can even use wadded up newspaper if you are out of bubble wrap or p-nuts. To date I have not had a razor to be damaged this way, but I did when I was just wrapping in bubble wrap cd envelope.

I like the USPS priority mail small boxes. Probably costs a couple of bucks more than an envelope (I think they're $5.75 to ship) but I guess I don't care. If I shipped a lot of razors I would probably look at the cost more carefully. They are very sturdy and fit a razor pretty well.
